We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person to join our supportive team as a Family Worker.

The salary advertised will be adjusted pro-rata based on 42 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week.

Your opportunity

You will take on responsibilities in a range of areas, including student welfare support, attendance and punctuality of students and admissions and appeals. This position also incorporates the duties of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the academy.

What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We are looking for:

  • Knowledge of SEN, including a basic knowledge of special needs terms and their meanings
  • Knowledge of many of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Experience of working in a school or educational establishment
  • Experience of working with young people who may have learning needs or challenging behaviour

About Harris Primary Academy Orpington

Harris Primary Academy Orpington is a two-form entry school which opened in September 2016 in Bromley. We believe that every child is different and that everyone deserves the opportunity to be happy, secure and successful. The academy is surrounded by a large grounds which enables us to take our learning outside, including through Forest School.
