Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
Salary: Competitive, DOE.
Contract: Full time, permanent.

About the role

The Technical Support Manager will be responsible for setting industry leading standards in the area of customer support services. Leading a team of global technical experts and support services staff you will lead and develop expertise within your team and set the strategic agenda for the support services.

Living our core values and being a role model of a Sandvik Leader, you will support the Sandvik culture, develop your colleagues knowledge and skills and consistently promote an ethos of continuous improvement throughout your area of the organization. You will promote industry best practice and engage your team to deliver on this to meet the strategic objectives of the business. Innovation will play a big part in this role as the successful candidate will develop and grow a post sales Service Management function, you will explore and utilise digitalization and other new offers, review working practices to ensure they are operational and use technology to improve efficiency as appropriate.

Travel will be required from time to time but most your time will be spent at the Swadlincote site.

Essential Criteria

• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience in change management and development.
• Working in a digital environment and managing people remotely.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in an international equipment or customer services function.
• Service manager role from construction or mining equipment.
• Skills and ability both to develop and deliver on strategic and performance metrics.
• Experienced performer with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relevant technical education (Masters or Bachelors level)
• Fluency in English.
