Secondary school in Wigan seeking a Geography Teacher until December 2019
Your new company
This secondary school is based in the Wigan area and therefore easily accessible from all areas across the North West. Due to a recent maternity leave in the department, the school has approached Hays seeking a Geography Teacher to start Immediately and continue until December 2019.
Your new role
Joining the Humanities department, you will be responsible for teaching Geography through to KS4, which will also require the planning and preparation of lessons. As you will be teaching mixed ability groups, you must ensure you are differentiating when planning and preparing and will also be responsible for the marking and assessment of pupils work. As this is a long term role, you will also be required to attend parents evenings and additional school functions, therefore fully contributing to school life.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience teaching Geography through to KS4. It would also be beneficial if you have taught either History or RE at KS3, therefore enabling you to further contribute to supporting the Humanities department. You must be available to start immediately and also commit to a role through until December 2019.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will also be supported by both school colleagues and your dedicated Hays Consultant. Furthermore, you will also join our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme where you could be entitled to receiving £250 in high street vouchers.
