Credit Control

Key Objectives: (1) To actively seek to generate cash and continually working to reduce the company debt percentage

(2) To ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained throughout the team

(3) To maintain high company standards of customer service

(4) Assist management in the smooth day to day running of the department

Main Activities

Set out below are the main activities of the position

Credit control

  1. To attend promptly to customers in accordance with Company customer care policy, actively seeking to make debt collections via telephone and dialler systems

  2. Actively try to reduce the company debt statistics

  3. Ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained at all times

  4. Ensure all financials are sent to the bank with the agreed time frame

  5. To arrange delivery or service where necessary

  6. To maintain high Company standards of customer service

  7. To resolve contractual queries in a timely manner

  8. To professionally deal with all customer complaints

Policy & Procedures

  1. To be aware of and comply with Company policy/regulations relative to the care and protection of the Company’s cash, stock, premises and equipment

  2. To be aware of and comply with all current legislation/Company rules relative to the position particularly with reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation

  3. To ensure conformity with the Trades Descriptions Act and associated legislation

General

  1. To ensure procedures for advising service section are followed

  2. To bring to the attention of your Manager any hazard or any other matter relevant to the efficient and smooth operation of the department.

  3. To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time to ensure the efficient, flexible and smooth operation of the trading unit and or Company. (This includes working at other Branches as directed by your Manager/Company Manager)
