The Role

To support the Manager, Compliance & Membership in the delivery of an effective compliance function, ensuring Lloyd's regulatory and trustee obligations are consistently met.

What Will You Do?

  • Responsible for activities relating to corporate membership of Lloyd's including (but not limited to) admission and on boarding of new members and third parties, change in control structures, conversion of membership, cessation and termination of members
  • Responsible for approval of applicants, incorporating Customer Due Diligence (CDD) to ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime regulations
  • Completion of Risk Assessment reviews on members and third parties to ensure adherence to Lloyd's risk appetite
  • Technical support to the Market regarding corporate rearrangements, capital structures and provision of data associated with Lloyd's Governance
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of members and third parties, including suspicious activity, overnight screening and transaction monitoring concerning PEPs, sanctioned entities and other high risk entities
  • Ensure that effective controls and procedures are present and maintained
  • To build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Close liaison with the Corporation Legal, Tax and Compliance teams and Lloyd's Members' Agents

What You'll Need

  • Experience of client on-boarding requirements
  • Experience of working within the rules and regulations of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering and CASS
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-process team with varying fixed deadlines
  • Experience of working in the Financial Sector
  • Experience and understanding of financial and operational risk
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of client onboarding requirements and the associated risks to Lloyd's
  • Knowledge of corporate structures and trust arrangements
  • Knowledge of relevant UK and International legal & regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of rules relating to membership of Lloyd's and Lloyd's trustee obligations
  • Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles
  • Knowledge of the Lloyd's annual business timetable
  • Ability to interpret legal and regulatory advice & take appropriate practical actions
  • Ability to react to continual changes in market conditions and policies
  • Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Influencing & negotiating skills
  • Ability to support a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Ability to focus on the detail and accurately analyse
  • Review & evaluation skills
