Multi-Vendor Midrange products Engineer
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full time ongoing contract
Other: Vehicle supplied and all tools equipment provided. A Full UK driving licence is required.
25 days holiday p.a. plus public holiday's
Hours: Basic hours of work will be 40 hours per week between Monday to Sunday, plus night shift, evening/weekend cover as per rota
Working as part of an existing 24 x 7 Field Team you will be responsible for Repair/upgrade of Multi-vendor Midrange products in customer environments and large enterprise accounts.
Repair and upgrade of Multi-Vendor Midrange products
Resolve clients' questions or problems and technical troubleshooting on a range of multivendor systems.
Serve as primary support liaison between company and customer.
Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required
Takes responsibility for additional follow-up, testing and troubleshooting services or problem escalation
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
Previous repair and upgrade experience to include X Series and Lenovo Servers, Midrange P Series and I Series Servers, and attached Disk/Tape Storage systems.
Multi-vendor Server repair and upgrade experience to include Sun Microsystems and network hardware.
A working knowledge of networking and associated products
Windows Operating System, and Application knowledge
Good Mechanical skills
Skills to include:
Experience working in a Multi-vendor Data Centre Environment
Excellent Troubleshooting and problem Solving Skills
Ability to perform within a contracted SLA
Excellent Client and Internal Communication Skills
Eager to learn new products
