My client based in the centre of Cardiff has an urgent requirement for a Finance Assistant on a 6 month contact to cover maternity leave. A suitable candidate must be comfortable working is a fast paced energised environment and have immediate to advanced Excel skills.

The role

Working as a Finance Assistant with this large organization you will be responsible for many aspects of finance processes including ensuring the accurate recording of all income and expenditure.

The main responsibilities of this role will be all aspects of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, the role will include:
• Correctly code purchase invoices for nominal ledger and VAT analysis
• Match invoices back to purchase order
• Post invoices to the purchase ledgers
• Resolve any queries relating to purchase invoices
• Ensure invoices are appropriately authorised prior to payment
• Monthly, automated payments runs and raising cheque and electronic BACS payments as necessary
• Produce supplier remittances
• Undertake supplier statement reconciliations
• Post bank transactions to accounts system
• Process expense claims and managing any queries relating to expenses

About you
• You will have an outgoing and vibrant personality with the experience and drive to be able to work alongside a welcoming and friendly team.
• Knowledge of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger are essential to being successful in this role.
