Purpose Statement

The role will centre on supporting the Senior Risk Lead for a leading Energy company in the embedding and ongoing development of the procurement risk framework for their Procurement methodology and initiatives. The role will support the Senior Risk Manager in developing and delivering the risk framework and core tools required to ensure that, in line with their Procurement Policy: - There is a single process for risk assessment of ALL new suppliers prior to onboarding and as part of ongoing supplier management. The means to provide insight into higher risk suppliers, build and maintain supplier risk profiles, enhance ability to avoid unexpected supplier cost as consequence of risk.

The Risk Analyst will have direct involvement in the development and delivery of core supplier risk tools (SAP ARIBA). A deep understanding of risk analysis ideally in an FCA regulated operation and a strong working knowledge of conduct risk. The role in a global procurement operations will require the ability to this apply this experience into the development of working solutions.


§ To develop and deliver the processes, collateral and reporting for risk analysis and insight to business stakeholders.

§ To maintain and develop the Material Outsource risk process for suppliers supporting delivery of FCA regulated activity.

§ To maintain functional risk registers and maintain group level reporting.

Other responsibilities include:

§ Execute continuous improvement projects to support business objectives and goals.

§ Support and drive adherence to Company Procurement Policy to enable efficiencies, effective controls and Company-wide risk management/reporting.

§ Improve and own the maintenance of supplier data in key risk systems including enhancements and process automation.

§ Responsible for current state assessment, gap resolution and task execution/deliverables for assigned area of responsibilities

§ Experience of working in risk management within a large organisation - ideally FCA

§ Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical considerations and solutions.

§ Proven oral and written communication skills

§ Clear understanding and absolute adherence to ethical principles, company values, business principles and policies.

§ Experience of identifying risks and implementing controls balanced against a commercial view.

§ Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
