We have been approached by one of our partner schools in Bolton, as they are looking to secure the services of a QUALIFIED RESISTANT MATERIALS TEACHER, on a full time basis (Monday to Friday). This post is on a long-term basis, to start as soon as possible. The school day starts at 8.30am and students leave the site at 3.30pm. This post is to be paid on the Main Pay Scale.

Our school is in a modern, state of the art building and benefits from having well-supplied classrooms and faculties. Along with excellent sports facilities, this is a school where teachers are provided with all the tools they need to deliver outstanding teaching on a consistant basis.

There are several resource centres available across the school too; surrounded by some of the most advanced sports facilities in the North West; our school is a welcoming, warm environment where students and staff alike are pleasant and friendly.

To travel to this school; road links are excellent (M60, M62, M66); there are several key bus routes in the local area and a train station within a ten minute walk.

The SLT in this school are focused and unrelenting in their quest to become the highest achieving school in the borough. If you are successfully appointed, you will benefit from extensive mentoring and support from a supportive SLT and Head of Technology.

This role is suitable for a more experienced Outstanding teacher of Design Technology, with a specialism in Resistant Materials, who is looking for a new challenge in a school which has made excellent progress under the new SLT.

To be considered for this role, you must:


- Hold UK QTS in Secondary Design Technology, specialising in Resistant Materials.

- Achieved via PGCE in Secondary Design Technology, B.Ed, SCITT, BA w/QTS, or other recognised route to Qualified Teacher Status

- Have expert knowledge of recent curriculum developments

- Be happy to commit to a long-term role.
