Are you a Learning Mentor who is looking to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with children who are no longer in mainstream education? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour within a classroom setting? We are looking for a dedicated learning mentor to work with Key Stage 4 students who require additional classroom support. Many of the students face barriers to learning and require both academic and social support.

As a Learning Mentor in this role you will be responsible for managing behaviour, engaging with students and supporting the class teacher. This Alternative Provision requires excellent behaviour management and abundance of patience and a positive approach. Job Role:
  • Providing 1-2-1 support as a Learning Mentor
  • Building rapport with students
  • Delivering fun activities for students
  • Managing classroom behaviour
  • Providing high quality academic support

Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Be a qualified Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant
  • Be resilient, creative and fun
  • Be able to motivate disengaged children

This role is located a short commute from Dudley, Halesowen, Birmingham, Tipton and surrounding areas. With a great team and dynamic leadership this is a great opportunity for a Learning Mentor who is looking to make a difference to the children that they work with.
