REED’s Engineering Team are working with a Nottinghamshire based manufacturing company who truly are a market leader within their field. They are the largest manufacturer of their specialised product which over the years has seen many developments and has entered new markets.

The business have various different operations on the factory floor and different processes to produce the final product and they are looking for an additional Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team and support with their new shift pattern of just days.

The Role.

Whilst this is an Electrically focused role, you will also have responsibilities that include Mechanical Maintenance across the site.

Some of your tasks will include the following:

* Planned and Reactive Maintenance, working from a Maintenance Schedule and also responding in a timely manner to breakdowns.
* Fault Finding safely on a range of different machinery on site and taking the necessary steps to ensure the machine continues to run efficiently.
* Replacing components with spares, whilst monitoring stock levels and informing the necessary personnel if there are shortages.
* Working towards company guidelines and ensuring any Maintenance performed is done to the required standard and also to regulation and industry standards.
* You will also be involved within new installation projects across the site, work that will include both Electrical and Mechanical aspects.
* Within the role you must act accordingly to the company’s Health and Safety guidelines and ensure your co-workers are too.
* You will have administrative duties too, ensuring all Maintenance performed is logged.

The Person.

To be successful for the role you will have to hold a recognised Engineering Qualification, 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and also a Part P Installation Certificate.

You will also have to have experience working within a manufacturing environment and have worked on a range of different machine components which could include including: actuators, circuits, conveyors, cranes, gearboxes, motors, and many more including hydraulics and pneumatics.

You should also be able to Fault Find on PLCs, but if not, have an understanding of how they work.

This is a fast moving environment and therefore you will need to have a sense of urgency to your work, being used to working towards deadlines in a pressurised environment.

There is a good atmosphere and culture on site and his is reflected across the workforce, so you will have to work collaboratively with other team members and may have opportunities to coach and train apprentices and new staff members.
