We are currently recruiting for a Private Client Paralegal for a well established solicitors based in Woolton, Liverpool. This is a permanent opportunity offering the salary between £16,000-£18,000 and the progression in the future of being offered a training contract for the successful candidate. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with 1 hour Lunch

About The Role:

Carry out home visits to clients and attendances at clients' properties as required, with authority and notification of such visits from/to your supervisor.Following training, to provide quotes to potential clients, take initial instructions from clients and interview clients, and assist with Will clinics arranged through the firm.To manage your own case files, under supervision. To maintain at all times good professional and ethical standards in dealing with clients, other solicitors and other persons and agencies.To ensure that clients are kept fully informed as to the progress of their matter and of the costs position.To keep appraised of any developments and changes in the areas of work in which you are engaged.To attend Departmental meetings and such Training courses as are approved by the Head of Department. To make full use of the I.T. systems available for management of client matters, including in particular case management systems, and where possible, and appropriate, to produce your own letters and documents and to ensure that the client database is regularly updated. To ensure your own word processing files are well maintained i.e. deleting of unnecessary documents, setting up precedents for documents constantly used.To use Excel spreadsheets for the production of accurate Estate Accounts when required.To assist in managing Fee Earners' diaries, arranging appointments, booking rooms for meetings on the premises via the computer system (if available), organising refreshments for fee earners and clients. Ensure computer diaries are up to date. To manage own diary and if appropriate a Costs Review diary.In the absence of the Partner/Fee Earner date stamp mail passed to you and separate into agreed priority, dealing with the banking of incoming cheques where necessary. In the absence of the fee earner, ensure that urgent matters are brought to the attention of another fee-earner.Manage a system of reminders for outstanding items, where appropriate, and to meet the guidelines for response times laid down in the office manual.To answer the telephone promptly in a polite and courteous manner, ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate person for response. To deal with queries when able or leave messages for other fee earners. To make phone calls on behalf of other fee earners when required.To ensure that all time spent on a Clients matter is recorded onto the computer as you go along, but at least daily.To conduct cabinet checks of files at least once every two months and complete check form.To co-operate in file reviews carried out by the fee-earner responsible for your file review.To review monthly printouts produced by Accounts department of each file and to take appropriate action.To review profit cost figures against targets and to ensure that bills are rendered on a clients matter promptly.To promote and assist in the promotion of the firm's business and when required to take part in any marketing projects formulated with a view to expanding the firm's client base and attracting new business.Contribute fully to your team, helping other members as directed by your
