As an organisation, all the development focuses on three core areas:
1) Migrating all solutions across to Azure and implementing microservices architecture
2) Scaling out solutions currently processing 5 million transactions an hour to 20 million
3) Ensuring a mature DevOps process is followed, including the use of Kubernetes, Terraform and CloudFormation.
As a result of the above features of every project, it leads to all projects having a high-transactional nature (think payment gateway solutions and single sign on). All projects focus heavily on the server side with C# and API based on microservices architecture except the functional programming you'll be exposed to in F#!
What does a good Senior .NET Developer look like in this role? Well, for starters, they will have a history of engineering greenfield C# projects with a heavy focus on the server-side and a good understanding of complex APIs.
It's not pivotal that the Senior .NET Developer has a high-transactional background, but knowledge of working on applications that can process data concurrently in real-time is certainly useful!
Most important, however, is your ability to solve problems that's where your engineering mindset is going to come in very handy!
