Senior Project Manager

Financial Services ITO/BPO specialist

Coast Recruitment is working in association with an exciting challenger bank, aiming to find them a SProgramme Manager / Financial Services ITO/BPO specialist on a 12 month FTC basis

The role is responsible for developing and delivering the project plan to successfully implement savings products via a fully outsourced ITO/BPO solution.

The Project Manager will be required to work closely with a European outsourced provider along with teams in both Europe and the UK. The Provider has already been selected and a contract negotiated so the successful candidate will join the team at the beginning of the Project lifecycle.

Provider selection has been centrally led by a team in the UK. Key stakeholders are based both in Europe and the UK. The resulting Services will be subject to MaRisk and BAIT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refine internal plans to align with outsource provider timings
  • Validate outsource provider plan and timings
  • Manage project plans ensuring all kept up to date
  • Manage change in line with required process
  • Manage budgets in line with internal requirements
  • Successful delivery of milestones and key milestones
  • Co-ordination and management of Project governance both centrally in the UK and Europe
  • Working with PMO to ensure delivery of required reporting
  • Closely manage project risks including minimising scope creep
  • Delivery to time and cost
  • Work with internal PMO software (MS Project and Clarity)
  • Ensuring key stakeholders are managed appropriately
  • Within the Project area, responsible for management of existing Project Manager

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Significant BPO/ITO Project Management experience in the Financial Services sector
  • Proven track record in successful time and cost based delivery of large scale projects of a similar
  • nature
  • Experienced in day to day management of a large project team and subject matter experts
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape
  • Be a dynamic self-starter, with ability to identify opportunities, influence and sell ideas
  • Analytically strong with well-established interpersonal, stakeholder and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • To understand the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and to ensure this is consistently incorporated into the role as appropriate
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent
  • Experience of working across cultures

Desirable:

  • It is preferable that the candidate is educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Retail Deposits / Savings product experience
  • MaRisk/ BAIT knowledge

Additional Information:

  • The position requires a degree of flexibility in working hours when meeting strict timings and deadlines
  • The position requires regular travel to Germany, at least monthly
