Fares Support Executive (Home Based)

Great opportunity for a Business Travel Consultant with Fares expertise, looking for a home based role with additional business admin activities.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage value added programmes on behalf of clients
First line support for fares enquiries from clients and suppliers
Day-to-day liaison with external fare loading resource
Manage upkeep of fare distribution channels and client credentials/mark up requirements
Support of GDS retailer programmes for members (eg Fare Experts etc)
Content management of fares related newsletters and guides
Maintenance and updating of fares related material

Marketing and events:

Co-ordination of marketing activities (internal/external)
Admin support for event management
Manage internal invoicing to suppliers for events and marketing activities
Diary management for centrally managed activities (eg panels, meetings, events)
Represent at industry events

Support & Administration:

Collection and co-ordination of centrally required reports (eg KAPs, agendas)
Manage process documentation, central electronic filing structure, archiving
Perform ad-hoc duties determined by business requirements

Ideal background:

Highly organised and efficient individual with a keen eye for detail
Good knowledge of fare construction, calculations, access and distribution on all 3 main GDS’ as well as fare redistribution programmes and solutions
Experience of working through a ticket-based helpdesk
Experience of presenting in a virtual environment
Ability to work within a team but as a remote worker
An excellent communicator who knows how to motivate and get the very best out of people, make complex look simple – in either face-to-face or virtual environment, and articulate key messages to a diverse audience
Report Production
Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel)
