Our client an award winning medical software development company based in Plymouth are currently seeking a Clinical Systems IT Trainer to work from home within the North Wales area.

Main Purpose of Job

To build on Microtest expertise in service delivery and best practice, the role is to deliver exceptional training support to healthcare staff throughout the country and internal Microtest staff in the use of the Open Evolution clinical system and associated programs.

This job will involve the successful candidate working from home and must be based in North Wales. You will be required to attend various healthcare practices and NHS sites. There will be occasions where you will need to travel to Bodmin or Plymouth, where our client's head office is based.

To compensate for your travelling you will receive, in addition to the above salary £4,000 per annum car/vehicle allowance paid monthly along with your salary, you will also receive a mileage allowance of £0.20p/mile whilst travelling for the company.

Key Tasks

1. To liaise with Practices, Health boards and CCG’s, to identify training needs
2. Organising, planning and booking training sessions following the company process
3. Updating company training documentation
4. To take training support calls from the Service Desk, ensuring the call is logged & updated accordingly with a satisfactory response to the customer
5. Writing clinical templates in line with customer requirements ready for deployment
6. To promote the Company and its’ products and to maintain a knowledge of current and future developments with the Company

Knowledge & Skills

1. The post holder should have a good general education preferably to GCSE level, particularly in Maths and English.
2. A medical background, preferably within General Practice
3. Previous use an IT Clinical System used in a healthcare setting, would be desirable but is not essential.
4. Need to be a team player
5. Have some general computing qualifications
6. Have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as being methodical and have the ability to follow Company procedures.

Problem Solving

To actively action enquires and provide training support to customers using own knowledge and skills.

Taking training calls from the Service Desk will be the primary task for this role.

Judgement & Decision

To work with the Service Centre Support Team to action customer enquires meeting commercial deadlines.

Contacts

This role requires dealing with internal staff in the Service Centre Support Team as well as external stakeholders in dealing with enquires.

Custodial Responsibility

To follow all aspects of GDPR and patient consent models. Responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of customer data.

Other Duties

Employees may be required to undertake tasks that the management considers are within their capabilities, even though the task may be outside their normal duties
