Support Worker - Waking Nights (Learning Disabilities)

30 hours; 3 nights per week

£8.12 - £8.55 (earning potential up to £8.99) per hour

Are you the Support Worker we are looking for?

We are three tenants in our own home in Woodbridge, Suffolk. We require assistance to be independent, with personal care and administering medication.

Whilst knowledge and experience are useful, a supportive approach is essential.

Main duties can be summarised as follows:

undertake hourly security checks of the building during the night; be diligent in seeking appropriate help and advice in the event of any deterioration or cause for concern in the person's physical or mental health; ensure the safety and well-being of all persons and take appropriate action in the event of an emergency; inform the staff team of any issues relating to a Customer who is encountering problems; ensure prior to going off duty that the necessary paperwork is fully up to date with all information appertaining to the management of the scheme and care of the Customers; undertake cleaning and other domestic type tasks; safely administer and store drugs and medication in a secure location in accordance with the policies laid down for the scheme. Training will be provided for this purpose.
