Vision for Education is currently looking to appoint a Part Time Tutor to work on an hourly basis with mixed ability students in Stockport. This position is due to start immediately with the possibility of work in the holidays.

It is essential that the successful Part TimeTutor:

Has proven experience of instructing or teaching young people
Holds a full UK driving licence and has business insurance on their vehicle is preferred
Has a comprehensive understanding of working with young people attributed EHCP’s for a Special Educational Needs, with references as evidence
Has experience of implementing a variety of de-escalation strategies in challenging situations involving young people.
Has experience of teaching English and/or Maths up toGCSE level

If you are a qualified teacher who can enthuse, motivate and engage students and would like the challenge of working in a demanding and rewarding environment then we want to hear from you. As you will be working on a 1:1 basis with students, the role of a tutor will require you to work with students to build positive, professional relationships and help them overcome barriers to learning. Each student’s timetable is tailor made for them to accommodate to their needs and interests, however most students will be studying Core subjects, therefore experience of teaching English, Maths or Science is desired. Tuition could be taking place either during or after school hours therefore flexibility is essential, however there is the possibility of the sucessful candidate dictating their own hours.

There is also the opportunity to build your timetable up to full time hours.
