At Simplyhealth, we’re looking for a Principal Application Architect to join our technology team based in our newly refurbished Andover offices and help us embark on a new strategic direction.

The role

As the principal application architect, you’ll play a leading role in ensuring the delivery of our critical IT development, supporting various development teams and ensuring adherence to a common roadmap of system evolution

Other key responsibilities will include;

*

Acting as the technical thought leader on all the Simplyhealth development platforms

*

Architecting, designing, supporting and developing all elements of the group’s development platforms.

*

Architecting areas of data, solution, cloud, technology, business process and technology

*

Driving operational excellence; highly scalable and reliable solutions, excellent customer service, efficient and agile operations measured with industry leading metrics

*

Providing support to multiple projects and business as usual (BAU).

*

Achieving on-time and on-cost delivery of all projects

*

Leading the approach on application security for the development group

*

Driving innovation that will support the company’s growth goals

Your experience

We’re looking for a pragmatic and commercial thinking application architect, ideally with a strong development background of Microsoft .Net and/or Java.

With demonstrable experience of;

*

Managing stakeholder effectively

*

ESB, ETL and service bus solutions including NServiceBus

*

Salesforce. Com

*

Object orientated development

*

Application security

*

Azure and AWS knowledge

*

Driving and delivering innovation

*

Managing strategic programmes and projects to ensure delivery in time, quality and cost parameters.

*

Shaping and delivering wide ranging portfolios of IT enabled change and transformation

In Return

As well as a competitive basic salary you’ll receive:

*

36 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays) with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days

£6,000 car allowance

*

Group annual bonus (discretionary) up to 12% of annual salary

*

A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways

A yearly company funded allowance of £1200 that you can choose to use against some great benefits such as shopping vouchers, pet insurance, dental plans and more
