We are Tally (www.tallymoney.com), an exciting early stage Fintech with big potential and imminent product launch, located on London Wall. We are a fast growing company recruiting for multiple positions. The role:
We are looking for an experienced PR & Content Manager who will be responsible for developing and delivering the PR and written content plan for the business. We are looking for someone with the ‘gift of the gab’ who can generate maximum exposure for our ground-breaking new product, and help develop a new category (and new vernacular) within the finance sector. This is a varied and pivotal role, and an exciting opportunity to be part of something which could change the way we all see money forever.

With your press and PR background, you will work on campaigns that launch our new product, both to the industry and to consumers. Living and breathing our brand message, you will write innovative and informative press releases and content pieces, thought leadership articles and data trends reports to secure coverage. You will be responsible for actively building relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers, and securing coverage across media titles and on influencer channels.

Our successful candidate will have experience planning and implementing PR campaigns and a strong understanding of the ever changing media landscape. You will also be armed with a network of contacts to ‘hit the ground running’.

The role will initially be part time (60% FTE) and depending upon the circumstances, we would be willing to consider flexible hours or work from home options so that the successful candidate can achieve a proper work-life balance. So this could be 3 full days a week, or less hours across more days etc. Assuming mutual interest, scope exists for the role to move to full time by Q2/Q3 2019, or alternatively we would work with the candidate to expand the team as required at that time.

Core responsibilities:
• Create news and PR campaigns to launch Tally, and help establish the brand within the market
• Lead in identifying opportunities to generate awareness for the brand
• Lead in a proactive media outreach plan, including the construction of stories, development of releases and scheduling interviews
• Lead in the preparation of interviews and briefings/coaching on key topics
• Maintain and create strong relationships with media, particularly City and Business and broadcast
• Brief, advise and provide consultancy on relevant media, and sector issues as they arise
• Produce high quality, concise written content for dissemination to Executive/Board level and externally
• Show keen interest in competitor and industry activity to anticipate and react to issues externally, and work with the broader Marketing team to implement via appropriate channels
• Prepare both proactive and reactive media statements to promote and protect Tally’s brand and reputation
• Provide support to Senior Managers in External and Investor Relations and to the Head of Marketing with consumer communications
• Assisting with other areas of the company where you can further add value

Your experience and skills:
• At least 5+ years proven experience in communications environment, with a focus on earned media.
• Track record of consistently producing high quality work, with strong writing skills and the ability to create compelling and engaging written content with strong attention to detail.
• Highly articulate, with outstanding presentation and communication skills and experience speaking on behalf of your company to the media – particularly in managing issues and crises
• Used to working under pressure and at speed to meet challenging deadlines whilst still achieving results of the highest standard
• Able to recognise potential risks to our brand and reputation and to devise and implement strategies that minimise the impact of each risk
• Excellent business judgement and strong organisational awareness
• Have in depth experience in the delivery of high-impact external communication strategies
• Strong experience of dealing with media, including broadcast
• Strong news sense and a proven track record of delivering creative campaigns
• Ability to break down complex ideas, policy and technology clearly

Salary: £40-£65K PA FTE (depending on skills and experience) - paid at 60% pro rata
