We at PM PROjEN maintain a specialist team dedicated to carrying out asset surveys and the production and maintenance of engineering records. This highly skilled team is currently focused on Utilities with an aim to expand into the Chemical, Process, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Energy & Environment market sectors.

Field data capture activities range from high volume asset surveys undertaken in public areas to specialist discipline based surveys in strictly controlled operational environments. In association with and in addition to this work the ADS team also carry out multidisciplinary engineering drawing and data management, update and production activities using both CAD and GIS software.

As the Deputy Manager you will be expected to provide a technical lead and to motivate the team in to meet performance and delivery targets.

Job Role & Responsibilities (but not limited to)

* CAD drafting (predominantly 2D) – e.g. control schematics, loop diagrams, hazardous area drawings.

* Quality Assurance of drawings produced by team members, ensuring accuracy and correct application of standards.

* Interpretation of drawing mark ups and sketches produced by third parties.

* Produce drawing mark-ups from information supplied by third parties.

* Assistance in the preparation of estimates.

* Preparation of information to enable invoicing.

* Work allocation to team members.

* Responding to technical queries raised by team members.

* Submitting technical queries to clients.

* Document control.

* Managing and dealing with clients.

* Creation of status reports.

* Monitoring team productivity.

* Support and mentoring of junior team members.

Requirements & Experience

* An ONC equivalent or above qualification in electrical design.

* A proven level of electrical / instrumentation design work experience.

* Ideally have direct experience in the application of National Grid Gas Transmission drafting standards.

* Proficient in the use of Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD software

* A working knowledge of Revit, Plant3D and Laser scanning would be an advantage

* Experience of work within the regional and national gas transportation industry.

* Working knowledge of DSEAR.

* A willingness to learn and develop new skills as required.

* A high level of professional integrity.

* Self-motivated and disciplined.

* Capable of exceptional attention to detail.

* Ability to accurately assess work scope and forecast output.

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
