A Blackpool Primary School is searching for a trained teaching assistant who is confident and experienced to support Year 1 SEND children in the classroom.

This setting understands the importance of a nurturing environment where a range of opportunities can be provided for their children. You will contribute to the safe environment that they already provide and you will become part of the SEND team within the school.

You will have a supportive team around you and a group of children who love to be at the school and love to learn. You will be proactive and keen to develop the children who care for on a 1:1 basis.

The role will include:

- Supporting the early years and foundation stage

- Providing early years provision to a high standard

- Liaising with parents

- Working with the wider school where needed

- Managing behaviour in line to school policy

- Being enthusiastic and proactive at all times

- Ensure safeguarding of each child


- Recent experience of working with young children

- Past experience of supporting SEND

- Ability to work 1:1 with a child

- Recent experience of supporting a Primary School

- Confidence to work with key children in a small group

- Ability to develop learning

- Trained to a Level 3 Teaching Assistant as a minimum
