This Liverpool based new opportunity involves leading a team within the Finance Centre of Excellence responsible for the design and delivery of Finance MI within Finance Systems & Change.

The role will be focused on realising the benefits of the Finance Data Store (FDS) and promoting wider use across the UK business by designing and implementing MI to meet business needs.

You will be responsible for working with finance users and the wider business community to understand their requirements and build MI using either SQL, Cognos or Qlik to meet their needs. You will also play a part in ensuring SII reporting continues to improve. The ability to prioritise and manage customer expectations will be essential to succeed.

You will add value through your knowledge of the FDS and Finance processes, using your strong communication and stakeholder management skills to prove the FDS can deliver.

Role Requirements

• Maximisation of return on investment in Finance systems in terms of:

- Improved quality and availability of insightful MI

- Improved IFRS and SII reporting processes

• Stakeholder feedback on:

- Understanding of business requirements and priorities

- On time, on budget, on specification delivery of MI suites

- Added value from planned projects and/or from proactive recommendations

• Feedback from Finance & business colleagues on:

- Knowledge and understanding of FDS data & capability

- Ability to translate business requirements into MI specifications


•Working closely with Finance leaders to understand their MI requirements, and deliver timely insightful reports to facilitate continuous improvement

•Working closely with the wider business e.g. Claims, Underwriting & Pricing Technical Specialist teams and Reserving to ensure the FDS data is complete, accurate and reconciled on a timely basis.

•Identifying efficiency savings through the delivery of MI

•Prioritisation of the MI Demand log and effectively management of customer expectations.
