Payroll Officer (Part Time)

Coventry

Upto £10,000 (Part Time Pay)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to work 18.5 hours a week, these hours are flexible with regards to times and dates etc.

Duties:

• Liaise with managers, employees and external organisations to resolve payroll and associated queries.

• Provide advice on Tax, NI, SMP, pension and other payroll associated matters.

• Support the Payroll Manager with the processing of variations to the payroll, including re-grading, honoraria, adjustments, overtime, benefits, deductions from pay etc.

• Process travel and expense claims.

• Ensure that data input into the systems is accurate.

• Undertake day to day payroll administration, including payroll preparation, input and advice

• Administer Statutory Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay.

• Check absence records for entitlement to Occupational Sick Pay. Apply Statutory Sick Pay where applicable.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a busy payroll environment

• Ability to maintain a range of administrative systems

• Up to date knowledge of PAYE and HMRC

• Ability to problem solve and deal with any queries

• Ability to work to tight deadlines
