Health & Safety Manager - NEBOSH - Multi-Site Agricultural & Groundcare Dealership Group
£30,000 (depending on experience) plus company vehicle and phone + Further Training Support
Wallingford, Reading, Cirencester or Ockham Based

Location: Our head Office is located in Wallingford, Oxfordshire and so this would make an ideal base. However, given the nature of the role and the travelling that will be required, there is plenty of scope as long as the branch visits can still be undertaken. 

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm

We are a steadily expanding family business who are involved with the supply and maintenance of Agricultural, Groundcare and Construction machinery. The wellbeing of our team is at the heart of what we do and up until this point we have worked closely with an outside provider to ensure these requirements are met. This has worked well but with ten sites across central Southern England, we have decided that the time is right to employ our own Health & Safety officer – a bright, practical, proactive individual who can work with us to engage the whole team and ensure that policies are adopted that create safe environment for our staff and customers alike.

At the heart of the work will be regular depot visits so we can be confident all existing policies are working at branch level and provide training where gaps are found. These visits will also create action lists for work that needs to be undertaken – either by members of the team, by outside contractors or simply changes that you could initiate. This work will be signed off with regular meetings with our Managing Director and therefore, the decision making process is as straight forward as possible. You will also work on a group basis to ensure that companywide policies are both relevant and current, and of course identifying and creating new policies where gaps are found.

A full list of duties is available on request, but it’s not exhaustive - essentially we are looking for someone who will grow with our organisation and so if you have had around 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have already obtained NEBOSH accreditation then we will happily support you with all further relevant training throughout your career.
