We are looking for a number of dynamic and motivated nursery nurses for an independent group of Nurseries in the Rainham, Havering, Romford, Hornchurch areas. Successful Early Years Practitioners will have a passion for teaching and education and have the ability to pass this on to their pupils. You will be able to choose your location based on your preference and which nursery settings suit you best.

These nursery nurse roles are all immediate starts. The Nursery is able to offer you flexible working hours and you can choose to work a full day with a day off, a day with an 8-hour shift, or shorter hours depending on your life style needs.

Children have direct access to a large adventure classroom where the children can continue their learning and development and can be used in all weathers. operate a ‘free flow’ system allowing the children to independently access both the indoor and outdoor classrooms throughout the day.

Practitioners plan for both the indoor and outdoor environments incorporating the children’s individual interests into the curriculum. There are also larger resources available to the children including a bus for role play, a small den and bikes to encourage their physical development. There is also a buddy bus stop where children can sit and talk and make new friends. Messy play is encouraged as an important part of children’s learning so these activities are available daily with sand/water play, painting, play-dough and other creative opportunities.

As a Nursery Nurse for this independent group of nurseries you will provide care for children from babies up five years old. You will need to assist in many aspects of childrens’ daily lives, through social, emotional, educational and practical interaction, nurturing and guidance. You will also help to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy, child-friendly environment, nursery nurses supervise activities, such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical pursuits. You will also be able to plan, observe and keep records that inform parents and carers about their child’s day.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

** Feeding suitable meals, snacks and drink

** Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training

** Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners

** Working with any health and social care professionals, where necessary, and undertaking any relevant admin/paperwork

Candidates must be fully qualified nursery nurses with either a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching.
