Learning, Development and Functional Skills Coach

(Office based in Knutsford)

Basic salary between £24,000 to £27,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

Due to expansion, an opportunity has arisen at Skills for Security for a learning and development coach to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the way in which the Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Standard is delivered.

The Learning and Skills Coach will be responsible for the development, planning and delivery of a range of subjects within the curriculum area.

The candidate must have excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to track, monitor and provide feedback on learner progress to management, learners and employers.

Essential

* PTLLS/CertEd qualifications

* A1/TAQA/D32/D33

* Functional Skills up to Level 2 Maths and English

* Competent User of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Liaise with management and be able to present reports where needed.

* Prepared to have a DBS check undertaken

* Experience in the delivery of Customer Service, Team Leading, Health and Safety

* Understanding of OFSTED

Desirable:

* Experience of the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Technician Standard

* OneFile Experience

* Experience of OFSTED

* Experience of creating an effective training programme

* Driver with own vehicle

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure national standards are maintained and needs of candidates are being met continuously

* Adhering to Skills for Security procedures in identifying and addressing learning and development needs

* Ensure progression and completion is achieved in a timely manner

* Identify and address any learning and development needs

* Build resources and develop training sessions.

* Plan, prepare and deliver classroom sessions

* Promote: safeguarding, prevent, British values, health and safety and equality and diversity.

* Provide developmental feedback

* To prepare learners for End Point Assessment

* Attend standardisation meetings and maintain up to date CPD

* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that the learners’ needs are met

* Undertake Health and Safety checks for learners on programme.

* Ensure portfolios are submitted in a timely manner for both interim and full Internal Verification when required

* To manage and maintain OneFile

* Conduct regular reviews

Interview Process

1st stage will be the Data/MI and Admin Manager and Quality Manager

2nd interview – Will be with the MD you will also need to prepare in advance a 10 minute presentation
