Our Fantastic Aerospace Manufacturing client are looking for a Quality Engineer! The purpose of the role is to measure, analyse and report on the capability of processes and product integrity within the manufacturing operations, identifying and actioning improvements in conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders
Quality Engineer
* To ensure product integrity is maintained throughout the manufacturing process through the use of statistical process control and other relevant techniques as appropriate
* To conduct process capability studies to identify improvement opportunities in conjunction with the production engineers
* To conduct process trials and evaluations in conjunction with the production engineers
* To identify, prioritise, manage and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in line with world class manufacturing
* To monitor and improve measuring techniques using Gauge Reliability & Repeatability studies and techniques
* To manage the process for non-conforming product within cellular areas of responsibility. Carry out analysis, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions
* To champion and manage specific improvement projects to deliver Quality, Cost, Delivery and People Objectives
* To carry out audits across the manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to processes and procedures within the Quality Management System.
* To ensure all documentation is relevant and up to date within the area, including the generation of new documents and SOP’s as required.
* To carry out training, assess and certify individuals as required and identified against the training matrices, to include the use of measuring equipment and continuous improvement techniques
* To manage, review and update Key Performance Indicators daily, weekly and monthly, ensuring measurement is relevant and accurate
* To support upkeep and compliance of the QMS within all areas of the business.
* To support the business by raising FAIR’s, concessions, qualification packs etc, as required to support product manufacture and customer requirements.
* To train inspection team to ensure continued high standards of inspection to assist in the prevention of escape’s and customer returns to the business.
* To support the business and the quality team to ensure we achieve our objectives and targets and to ensure quality compliance and customer satisfaction at all times.
Essential Skills
* At least 3 years experience in a Quality Engineering capacity
* Experience of working in the Aerospace industry
