Claims Operations Manager

Overview:
This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, performance and delivery of the entire broker claims team of 6 members to ensure the effective delivery of claims services. Initially the focus will be on London Market broker services and may ultimately progress to include all claims handling and administration services managed out of the Chelmsford office.


Key Duties:
·Management of broker services team
·Monitoring workloads and allocation of resources to ensure effective delivery
·Monitoring key issues and ensuring they are resolved to client satisfaction
·Providing technical input and oversight on complex matters
·Setting goals and objectives
·Conducting monthly/quarterly peer review and annual appraisals
·Meeting client and internal SLAs
·Client reporting
·Process review and delivery of operational improvement
·Communicate effectively with London Market Underwriters and Overseas Cover holders
·Work with senior management team to set and implement corporate strategy
·Daily client interface
·Support for new business development initiatives


Experience required:
·Extensive experience in a similar management / team leadership role.
·Technical knowledge of the broker claims process and procedures in the Lloyds London Market
·Good understanding of delegated authority business
·Experience of North American property and liability business
·Understanding of process improvement and ideally some experience of Lean Six Sigma
·Ideally professionally qualified
·Good IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel
