Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project) – Birmingham

A leading UK FTSE 100 provider of cutting-edge IT services and lotions are looking to hire a talented Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project) to join a rapidly expanding team based in Birmingham.

They are looking for a Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project) to work on an exciting programme that is of a significant scale, with multiple workstreams. The Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project) will be responsible for pulling together the overall project plan and helping them keep on schedule across all elements of the project, tracking and reporting progress against identified key milestones. You’ll be reporting against KPIs, and ensuring we capture actions, risks and our mitigation.

The Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project) will meet regularly with key stakeholders to review project progress, and you’ll be comfortable challenging and holding us to account, to ensure we’re not slipping off-track.

This role requires extensive experience in the PMO space and ideally in PMO Team Management. So, you should be able to operate PMO processes such as RAID management, Reporting, Change Management etc. and be engaged with the Senior Management Team.

Experience for the Programme Planner (PMO, Programme, Project):

* You may have experience in using Project Online Server
* You will know about resource assignments
* You will understand how to add rates to be able to produce a costed plan
* You will be able to produce a cost report showing remaining cost
* You will understand the concept of a project baseline and how it might be used to show variances in the project schedule
* You will know the term “Critical Path” and be able to identify whether it exists
* You need to be familiar with the resource usage view and how to show both work and cost forecasts
* You will be able to manage the project SharePoint Areas
* You’ll be a natural organiser. Methodical and thorough in your planning, you’ll be able to keep us on track and delivering against our key milestones.
* You’ll need to be able to juggle multiple priorities and keep a clear head under tight timescales.
* Experience of managing projects within Microsoft Projects is essential, and we’d be looking for you to demonstrate how you’ve used this to manage projects previously.
* It’s not just about the detail though, it’s also vital that you’re a great communicator, able to engage effectively
