We're looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team based at Westwood, Coventry. We work hard to make the best deals possible and provide energy solutions for our customers. Right now we’re looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team based in Coventry. This is a role with significant impact as you’ll be responsible for identifying, quantifying and reporting the risks of the entire Business & Community Solutions (B&CS) retail commodity portfolio of -£100m. We’re looking for someone not only with exceptional analytical skills, but also someone with the ability to develop strong relationships as this role involves a wide range of stakeholders up to senior manager level. You’ll use your communication and influencing skills in addition to your understanding of the wholesale energy markets to ensure the business understands how their risks are managed. Qualifications Here’s what you need to have: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. Highly numerate with strong ability to analyse highly complex issues and distil them into meaningful metrics and solutions. Ability to apply high level mathematical and statistical techniques to analysis of energy market risks. Strong ability to work as part of a team. Keen interest to take responsibility proactively, often across unstructured problems, and to demonstrate ownership in these areas. Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel. It would be great if you had: Advanced modelling skills to include coding competence in one or more of VBA, Matlab, SAS or the ability to understand and interpret these environments.
