Job Title: Lecturer in Countryside and Arboriculture

Job Status: 3 days per week (not specified) Permanent, Part-time

Location: Enfield with the ability to travel to Gunnersbury Park, Crystal Palace and other college centres on request

Salary: Points 25-35 of the Harmonised Salary scales for Lecturers in Further Education. The lecturing salary scale is an 11 point scale with the top 2 points being reserved for the recognition of teaching qualifications.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lecturer in Countryside and Arboriculture based at Enfield. Lecturer in Countryside and Arboriculture will have wide ranging and interesting duties and be encouraged to become fully involved in the development and maintenance of a range of courses organised by the College. It is intended that the lecturer will make important contributions to the development of the College's activities both locally and nationally.

The successful candidate will participate in the teaching, administration and assessment of mainly countryside, but with some aspects of Arboriculture courses offered by the College (to include its centres in North, East and Central London as appropriate) and assisting with the Quality Assurance (QA) process.

You will be expected to co-ordinate in conjunction with the Team leader and Head of School, Agriculture, Arboriculture Wildlife and Conservation and Outdoor Activities. The understanding of the practical elements of course provision e.g. acquiring work sites, transport of students, equipment and providing materials will also be a necessary factor.

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to achieve within a specified period and have a Level 3 Diploma in Arboriculture or Countryside management or related award (minimum). You will have experience in environmental monitoring and surveying.
