We are recruiting an Account Manager to develop profitable sales growth into new and existing customers within the UK transportation industry. Reporting into the USC Area Sales Manager this role will be field based covering the North of UK.

Part of a $10 billion global chemical distributor we are the speciality products division supplying specialty consumables to Transportation, manufacturing, Engineering and Construction industries.

Account Manager Key Responsibilities:

+ Deliver on targets set for your existing customer base
+ Achieve growth targets for new business into existing accounts 
+ Drive sales into new customers

Key Tasks:

+ Plan your territory in order to develop the business
+ Plan, prepare, execute and follow up on customer opportunities 
+ Liaise closely with commercial, customer service and stock to ensure profitable business opportunities
+ Manage portfolio performance versus sales targets & KPI’s
+ Ensure all admin is completed in a timely manner and activity is logged

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a background in the UK Transportation industry or the paint finish process. Whilst specific product and application training will be provided previous experience using consumables to improve the paint process is preferred. We require someone with a natural flair for developing new growth opportunities, a strong work ethic and the drive and passion to work hard to win new and maintain existing business. 

The ability to work with line side engineers and focus on delivery of projects is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to develop relationships both internally and externally and be comfortable communicating at all levels within an organisation.
