Our client, whose headquarters are in London, is a leading Legal 500 law firm with global reach. The Firm has a full service offering with 12 broad legal disciplines and focusing on 10 industry sectors. The Firm has 167 partners and over 500 lawyers in total. The Firm has an unusually broad range of skills and experience across the full spectrum of business and personal needs and their clients vary from national and international organisations of all sizes, public sector bodies and also private clients.

The Team

The Cheltenham office team consists of three Partners, one Legal Director, six Associates, two Legal Executives, one Paralegal and one Trainee supported by four secretaries and a property administrator. The successful candidate will report directly to Naomi Nettleton. The other key liaison relationships are:

  • Nigel Morton
  • Cheltenham Partners
  • Fee earners in other Services
  • Members of the support teams

The Role

The Cheltenham Real Estate Group is seeking to recruit a high calibre 3+ PQE individual with experience and interest in handling work for a mixture of clients (property funds, trusts, high net worth individuals, partnerships, charities, banks and companies). The recruit will be working primarily with Nigel Morton and Naomi Nettleton. Nigel advises on conveyancing, residential property investment and development, secured lending and landlord and tenant matters. His clients include national funds, housebuilders and landed estates involved in residential development and investment. Naomi advises commercial clients on complex and challenging commercial property transactions. She has wide experience in acquisitions and disposals of commercial property portfolios with particular expertise in the hotel and care home sectors. This is an exciting role for an ambitious lawyer with the personality and drive to commit themselves to first rate client service and to making a contribution towards the achievement of the Real Estate Group’s ambitious business plans.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To deliver highly efficient, professional and creative service to the existing clients of the department
  • To deliver advice of the highest technical competence, including in relation to complex portfolio sales and purchases and development
  • To ensure the retention of clients allocated to him/her and further enhancement of our relationship with them
  • To proactively seek to work with other Group members in the marketing of the firm’s services and the expansion of the Real Estate’s business of the firm
  • To assist when requested with the cover of the cases of other Group fee earners during holidays or their absences abroad on business
  • To contribute to the smooth administration of the firm’s Real Estate Group’s business

Technical Skills:
