Job Type: 35 hours per week, Term Time only 39 weeks

In addition to carrying out the role of Cover Supervisor where you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, guiding and instructing students in the work that has been left by the department or class teacher, you will also have an administrative role. You will be responsible for picking up messages from the staff absence line in the early morning and organising and planning the daily cover rota. You will need to be highly organised and an excellent administrator in order to be able to create cover and keep accurate records.
To be successful you will need to be qualified to at least Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) including level 2 qualifications in English and Maths. A high level of computer literacy including the use of spreadsheets and information management systems is essential. Experience of using SIMS is desirable. Experience in managing young people, preferably in a school environment, maintaining high standards and expectations of behaviour and discipline is also desirable.
