ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Event Manager’s prime function is to manage the event team - event managers, technicians, freelancers, administrative staff and third party service providers, and to oversee the Event service and to be accountable to all stakeholders for their delivery. The position involves a high degree of exposure, working with executive management and managing directors of the Bank to provide live event services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Event Manager is expected to work with our customer to ensure best practice, and to oversee the presentation of services to clients while making sure the service levels are effective. This role provides a clear communication link among live events, ongoing projects, clients and resources.

The Senior Event Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

MANAGEMENT

* Client Management – Building and maintaining client relationships

* Team Management – Management of directly employed, locum and freelance staff in the delivery of high-level live events

* Role Management – Develop, adopt and delivery departmental best practices

* Venue Management – To work with Maintenance teams to ensure that the event spaces are kept to the highest possible standard, and to work in partnership with property management to provide a professional service to clients

* Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) – Working with the Live Production Manager to identify, agree and own a progressive CSI programme

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

* Team Building – Promote and deliver team collaboration whilst maintaining team morale

* Skills Gap Analysis – Identify areas required for training and development for team and self

* Training – Responsible for identifying training and development plans

* Progression – Identify and nurture development of key team members

* Appraisals – Execute annual and on-going performance appraisals for on-site team

LIVE EVENTS

* Supervising Event Technicians in their roles and the production of live events

* Incident Management

* Managing client feedback

GENERAL DUTIES

* Responsible for sourcing crew to the highest level of skill sets as required

* Working with third party service providers to ensure client demands are met

* Processing third party invoices

* Providing reports on various levels of the service

* Recruitment
