ROLE OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE * To maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the company?s IT systems and to develop those systems in line with business requirements. * Provide 3rd line support for those systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing the Company?s IT based systems against agreed target operating levels * Respond to support calls within the agreed SLA?s and log the calls to ensure prioritisation * Comply with the internal IT ServiceDesk Ground Rules * Ensure all servers are operating correctly and are backed up daily * Ensure the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) are functioning correctly * Purchasing and Disposing of Computer Hardware * Ensure the Company?s electronic defences are working correctly and are up to date (including Anti Virus, Anti Spam, Firewall) * Allow system access to approved persons and to ensure unauthorised persons cannot gain access and report monthly to the IT Infrastructure Manager on starters, leavers and changes * Maintain, develop and manage the Citrix/XenApp/Remote Desktop Services environment * Maintain, develop and manage the VMware environment * Undertake capacity planning for all storage, compute resources and network bandwidth * Setting up and managing Users access to the internet from within client systems * Investigate new and improved ways of operating the the client IT Systems to constantly improve resilience and achieve efficiencies * Ensure the Company?s Disaster Recovery system is maintained and developed * Comply with and help to further develop the IT policies and procedures * Provide out of hours support on a rota basis to the mission critical elements of the Company?s systems Form No: HRJ027 Version No: 3 Issue Date: 10/10/2017 * Carrying out occasional vital installation and maintenance tasks out of hours COMPANY INITIATIVES AND COMPLIANCE * To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role. * Support Company Initiatives and demonstrate Company Values at all times. * Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the Company. * Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and others whilst at work and to comply with the Company?s policies and legislation. * All individuals are expected to maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate learning and development activities QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS * Ideally you will be MCSA/MCSE/CCNA qualified Specific knowledge, experience & skills Technical Skills * Windows 2003 and onwards Server Administration, including Active Directory Services * Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 * HP Networking protocols including wireless * Citrix/XenApp/Remote Desktop Services * HP Servers * SAN Environments (HP & Dell) * VMware * Cisco Meraki Wireless * Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook * Exchange Server 2010 and onwards including Exchange On-line * Microsoft Azure Platform * Office365 * Corporate Antivirus and Backup solutions (McAfee and Backup Exec) * Storage Fabrics (iSCSI) Experience * Graduate calibre with a strong work ethic. * 5+ years previous experience with supporting IT Infrastructure in a similar manufacturing or food production environment * Working in a structured environment, recording activities in a IT logging and scheduling package * 5+ years previous experience with Microsoft Server products and Active Directory Services Form No: HRJ027 Version No: 3 Issue Date: 10/10/2017 SKILLS * Attention to Detail * Proactive when working within in a team or when working independe
