Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Collections Coordinator for our team in St Helens. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
Collections Coordinator Role:
Joining our team, the Collections Coordinator will co-ordinate and manage Commercial Waste Electrical Collection operations from the St Helens Collections Business Unit. In association and with support from the Collections Business Manager at Trafford Park co-ordinate the service delivery of Commercial Trade Waste Collections. You will also ensure that the Collections Unit complies with all legislative, statutory and Company requirements and that all Targets and Objectives are met if not exceeded. Additional tasks will include:
- To ensure, through constant review, a cost effective, quality service is delivered
- Identifying opportunities for business growth by working closely with the Territory Sales Executives.
- Be available and on call for all emergencies relevant to this role, as directed by the Head of Collections.
- Full responsibility for the preparation of an annual Collections Business Unit Cost Budget
- Ensure the effective utilisation of both mechanical and human resources, in performing the services.
- The delivery of a Succession Plan to ensure continuity at the site and provide Personal Development Plans for individuals with a natural talent
- Enhance the customer experience by the continuous service level improvement for all modes of vehicle
- Ensure 100% financial governance and compliance with all processes and procedures
Our ideal Collections Coordinator will have:
- A proven track record of supervising a Logistic operation successfully
- An understanding of fleet operating systems
- Full knowledge of Road Transport and Environmental legislation
- Proven track record in the identification of talent and delivery of Succession Plans
- An excellent working knowledge of the waste and recyclate market within the specified geographical area
- Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy
- Previous experience controlling fleet activities and managing large teams
- An excellent working knowledge of the waste and recycling market
- Full driving license and full CPC National for road transport (or working towards) completion within 12 months of appointment)
- Ability to route vehicles effectively taking into account profit and productivity
