The Client

A Maintenance Engineer is required by our client based in Rushden. This is for a reputable, ever growing and fast paced organisation.

The Job

You will be responsible for overseeing and the management of all tooling, machinery and access equipment that is on site.

• Oversee the repair and maintenance of all company tooling, machinery and access equipment
• Maintain and manage an accurate and up to date tool register
• Ensure daily tool and machinery checks are completed; logging of damages, costs and accountability & escalating where appropriate
• Complete periodic checks for all access equipment and see if any repair work is required
• Conduct regular audits of all company tooling throughout the factory
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate tool prices and chase repairs
• Register all new tooling with the tooling’s manufacturer
• Undertake and oversee all tooling/machinery training for all employees in the team
• Undertake First Aider duties
• Investigate any tool/machinery related accidents

The Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical tooling
• Technical knowledge of wood working machinery
• A good knowledge of manufacturing mechanics
• Able to service, repair and maintain machinery equipment
• Able to train others in tooling and machinery
• First Aid trained
• Strong health and safety understanding

The Package

• 45 hour contracted week
• Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 17:00 and 07:00 – 12 noon on a Friday
• Pension 5% employee and 4% employer
• 20 days holiday (increasing 1 day each year of service up to 24 days) + 8 bank holidays
• Free parking on site
