Our client, a leading supplier in the UK and worldwide, are looking to recruit a Sales Office Manager

Role and Responsibilities

This key role, based at the Company's principal Office, will be to lead an internal sales team of ca. 15 to successfully deliver sales growth. The basic function is to proactively guide the team in pursuing incoming leads, adopting the most convenient pricing/service combination able to maximise the chance of winning business. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to develop an established sales function.

In addition, once the candidate has settled into the role the position will involve managing the three external sales people.

The role will report directly to the Director’s


Managing team performance

* Set goals and targets for each team/team member;

* Track productivity and effectiveness of each team/team member;

* Set up a robust quote follow up process;

* Ensure team members received appropriate and regular training.

Developing customers

* Identify customers or sets of customers that have potential and engage the team to target them;

* Engage the team to follow up on hot leads generated from marketing campaigns, online sales, market research, etc;

* Identify and develop sales opportunities, including for new but related products or new applications for existing products;

* Working with external sales to prioritise opportunities to be followed up by them;

* Working with the marketing team to come up with ideas from marketing campaigns, targeted mail shots, etc.

* Responsible for own allocated key accounts.

Candidate profile

Looking for a proactive thinker, hands-on individual and with proven experience in business-to-business sales.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

* B2B sales experience;

* Experience leading and developing an internal sales team;

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

* Proven track record in making cold calls and converting to qualified leads

* Well-organised and methodical, with a strong attention to detail

* IT literate.
