Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities:

Our client based in Kettering are looking to recruit a Learning and Development Specialist to support the business through the design and delivery of learning & development initiatives. The L&D specialist will create materials and deliver action by completing thorough needs analysis, developing an understanding of business requirements, and ensuring that curriculum design and quality enhance learning effectiveness. The L&D Specialist will also be responsible for coaching individuals and/or groups on skills and behaviours for improved performance in support of business goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Facilitate leadership and professional development programs

* Facilitate training sessions in a variety of delivery modes

* Partner with business leaders and HR or L&D Management to provide development solutions to support the strategic goals for the business

Curriculum Design

* Designs and develops all curricula, including; classroom, e-learning, blended, experiential learning exercises, job aids and case studies

Performance Improvement & Coaching

* Builds ongoing relationships with business partners to understand business needs and recommend appropriate solutions

* Recommends development solutions to meet business needs and aligning with the 70-20-10 model of development

Project Management

* Lead and/or coordinate L&D program initiatives to meet the needs of all business units within the region

What do you need?


* Knowledge of the adult learning principles and instructional design theories and practices

* Working knowledge of online teaching methods and best practices

* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, flexibility

* Knowledge of facilitation best practices

* Demonstrated ability to create intellectually challenging and personally engaging learning experiences that integrate instructor-led, experiential and technology based learning

* Able to consult and work collaboratively within the organization and to operate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

* Possess strong communication skills in both oral and written formats

* 2+ years experience in a corporate learning environment
