Our client, a top accountancy firm in Peterborough, have an immediate need within their Business Support Services team for an Assistant. This is a varied role that will include working both in the office and off-site at clients premises.

The team provides a wide range of management accounting and bookkeeping services to their clients and the role will include:-
•Carrying out accurate bookkeeping services for a wide range of clients
•Preparation of VAT returns
•Carrying out period end reconciliations and preparing management information to trial balance level
•Working with clients to assist with the processing of their accounting records
•Advising and training clients on the use of accounting software packages, particularly Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud Accounting, Xero and QuickBooks Online.
•Some additional accounts preparation work may be involved.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with at least one year’s experience in the delivery of bookkeeping services and VAT Returns – ideally across a wide range of clients within practice. Knowledge of cloud accounting software packages and Sage is also essential.

You must be fully or part qualified AAT or ACCA and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering a first class service to clients and the ability to work well as part of team. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

A driving licence and access to transport are required as this role involves regular travel to client premises across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.
