We’re now looking for a female House Matron to join us as part of a job share and oversee one of our boarding houses, which is home to female students aged 14 – 17. The Role As the House Matron, you will oversee our boarding house, which is home to female pupils aged 14 – 17. You’ll be a modern day Mary Poppins, solving any problems that come your way, from disputes between friends and ensuring the tuck shop is well-stocked to sewing buttons on uniforms and tackling clothing stains. Some of your duties will involve: - Acting as a mediator in the house - Purchasing provisions, such as fruit and tuck shop items - Supervising laundry and dry cleaning activities - Ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the house - Performing administrative tasks About You To join us as a House Matron, you will need: - Previous experience of working with teenagers (young people aged 13 – 18) - A patient and compassionate approach - Great decision-making skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Due to the nature of this role, only female applicants will be progressed.
