We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Technician to join our Design and Technology department. The successful applicant will be responsible for the condition and stock levels of all equipment and materials in order to meet the requirements of the department. You will help with the running of the workshops and assist students in the safe use of tools and machinery, supporting the teachers with the preparation of equipment and materials for lessons and the routine maintenance and servicing of such equipment. Experience of working in a workshop or other relevant specialism is essential. Experience and knowledge of CAD/CAM would be an advantage.
Applicants for this post must be enthusiastic and possess a calm, organised and approachable character which is seen as an essential part of the role. You must have a clear commitment to working with young people and be able to set clear guidelines for them. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work responsibly with young people in the Academy.
