Finance Business Partner - Sheffield
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a successful and high profile business in Sheffield. Based at the Head Office, as Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for gathering information to support the business's goal of challenging, influencing and making strong commercial decisions, and effectively managing relationships. The role requires an ability to work with numerous data sets, bringing these together in one place to support their goal of a strong focus on robust controls and ensuring compliance with these controls. The post holder must drive and facilitate supporting sustainable, cost effective and profitable processes. As an integral part of the Commercial Finance team you will specifically support the Commercial Finance Manager in providing financial advice and analysis to a specific business function. You will be required to develop effective cross-functional working relationships to drive the financial and operational direction of the relevant business function. The expectation is that the successful candidate will be ambitious and will progress through the team. Responsibilities will include: - Ensure that rigorous controls and processes are in place to safeguard business assets and maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting - Produce information requests within the required timescales, including Business Review and Board packs, KPIs, dashboards, trackers and forecasts - Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the business plan for the relevant area of the business - Provide robust and timely financial reporting - Review trends and challenge current performance, identifying risks and opportunities within the finance department and the wider business - Provide a support service to other Finance areas and with the wider business through the appraisal and analysis of financial performance and the implementation of best practice - Ensure delivery of key financial measures including the year end audit, statutory accounts and changes in accounting standards - Support Commercial Managers as they liaise with external auditors to provide assurance over approach and methodology with regard to year end processes - Support the business teams in making commercial decisions to ensure the achievement of business plan targets - Develop close relations across the business Key Skills / Experience: - Minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience, or qualified by experience. - Experience of cross functional working - Experience in operating in a commercial environment - Excellent Excel and analytical skills with an ability to manipulate complex data sets - Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, in order to effectively engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders at all levels within the Company This is an excellent opportunity to work for a fantastic business where you will experience a lot of commercial exposure in a fast paced environment.
