Project Accountant - Sheffield
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Project Accountant for a well known Sheffield based organisation. The Project Accountant is a key role within the finance team, with responsibility for leading a variety of finance related projects that relate to improving the quality of information and to increase efficiencies. Responsibilities will include: - Prepare, analyse and report on the monthly cash flow position including monthly cash flow forecasting and annual budgeted cash flow forecasts - Analysis of the fixed asset register and develop a new process - Formally review monthly reconciliations, including payroll - Develop policies and procedures to drive improvement in internal controls and ultimately increase the accuracy and effectiveness of the information provided - Timely completion of year-end processes to enable the production of the published accounts - Audit liaison and point of contact for audit queries - Co-ordination of Statutory Accounts preparation - Ensure proper accounting for VAT, Corporation Tax and any other tax regulations - Preparation of quarterly VAT returns, annual Corporation tax packs/returns and other external reporting - Undertake other related projects or duties as required Essential Skills / Experience: - ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified - Experience of statutory reporting and control issues - Ability to forecast/model complex scenarios and challenge viability of business plans - Advanced Excel skills If you are a qualified Accountant who has experience statutory accounts preparation and are looking for a role that is varied and challenging, then this could be the role for you.
