Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Enabling Functions team to work in Longbenton, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Role purpose:

People management of the Subcontract & Plant teams within Accounts Payable.

What you'll be doing

As an Accounts Payable Manager , you will:

* Identify resourcing requirements and select the most appropriate people;

* Drive high performing team culture within the accounts payable department;

* Set clear expectations and objectives for individuals & team. Hold them accountable to deliver against targets;

* Lead on hosting monthly departmental meetings & input into wider Accounts Payable full team meetings held monthly (to include presenting);

* Support ½ year and full year audit process.

* Be able to communicate effectively with Senior Management and stakeholders across Balfour Beatty;

* Have the ability to work within a management team and challenge colleagues & peers to drive improvements in a constructive manner;

* Be able to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities;

* Be an excellent collaborator and have the ability to influence and implement change across functions whilst maintaining control of the speed, quality and consistency of the process.
