We are seeking experienced candidates for this exciting opportunity within a company who excel in the maritime industry.

The successful Marine Superintendent DPA/CSO is the link between the Company at the most senior level and those on board those to monitor the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation and to ensure that adequate resources and shore based support are applied as required.

Marine Superintendent – Essential Candidate Requirements

* Chief Engineers STCW REG A-III/2 (unlimited) certificate of competency

* Approved DPA and CSO qualifications

* DP operation experience

* Offshore Windfarm operations

* Experience in PSV back deck operations

* Lifting

* Daughter Craft ops and regs / LOLER regulations

* Experience of a Walk to Work vessel

Marine Superintendent - The Role

* Monitor vessel marine, safety, security, environmental & quality issues

* Conduct the duties of DPA as required by the Company in relation to the ISM Code

* Conduct the duties of the CSO as prescribed by the ISPS Code

* Control and monitor the risk for assigned vessels and to lead or act as part of the risk assessment team for shipboard procedures and operations where required

* Lead Company HIRA and act as marine representative for client HIRA’s where applicable

* Monitor the voyage and nautical performance of assigned vessels providing assistance to the Master as necessary

* Ensure that client relationships are pro-actively developed by continually improving the level of service provided in accordance with the management agreement

* Act as client interface as required on all marine and nautical matters

* Assist in the ISM, ISPS and MLC Certification process and formulation of annual audit plan to ensure that audits are progressed

* Ensure compliance with the integrated management system by conducting internal audits ashore and on board.

* Assist in the maintenance of records of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformance reports.

* Manage safety statistics

* Coordinate the provision of specialist advice on all marine and nautical issues to vessels and office staff.

* Lead crisis management process and act as a member of the emergency response team

* Assist with the arrangement of third party inspections

* Interview and induct/brief senior officers on marine and safety matters during office attendance.

* Monitor shipboard drug and alcohol testing

* Monitor the charts and nautical publications supply process to vessels ensuring corrections and updates are provided as necessary

* Any other duties as required by the senior management team to meet individual office requirements

Marine Superintendent – Benefits Package

A starting salary of £48,000pa plus a very competitive benefits package is available.
