Apprentice Accounts Assistant

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

£12,500 per annum

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Accounts Assistant to join us at the The Oakleaf Group

Full training in all aspects of the job will be provided but the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are enthusiastic, proactive, confident and willing to learn.

Day to day duties will include but are not limited to:

· Checking and coding of purchase invoices and submission to Central Purchase Ledger for processing

· Liaising with Central Sales Ledger and Credit Control

· Preparing month end journals, accruals and prepayments

· Maintain petty cash

· Debit Card Reconciliations

· Assisting with residents' monies

· Booking and arranging payment of staff travel requirements e.g. trains, hotels, training courses etc.

· Liaison with the wider business to provide/acquire accounting information

· Assist with the budget process and deal with queries

The successful candidate will:

· be able to use their own initiative

· be able to work to deadlines

· apply accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role

· Basic knowledge of Excel
