Supporter Acquisitions Manager

HQ, Slimbridge Wetland Centre

£33,991 - £35,780 per annum

37.5 hours per week

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape and implement an ambitious, forward-looking individual giving strategy which aims to increase individual income by 25% and to double our supporter base over the next five years. The role is responsible for supporter acquisition through all channels and achieving annual six figure targets, as well as providing guidance and support to WWT Wetland Centres to maximise supporter recruitment at their sites. You will manage a small team including regional membership recruiters.

We’re looking for an experienced supporter acquisitions manager, particularly skilled in using digital channels but also with knowledge of face-to-face recruitment, with a strong track record of achieving stretching acquisition targets. You will understand how to use supporter insight to inform and shape our strategy and how to balance maximising income with ensuring that supporters have the best possible experience of engaging with WWT. Excellent at building internal relationships, you will have experience of collaborating across a complex organisation and ideally across multiple sites, to achieve shared targets. Experience of managing target driven teams is essential.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people. We conserve, restore and create wetlands. We are pioneers in saving wetland wildlife, both in the UK and around the world. At our 10 UK sites around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature. We work internationally in key global wetland areas, balancing conservation with sustainable livelihoods and influencing national and international conservation policies.

In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service
  • Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
  • Life assurance
  • Free parking
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free entry to all our centres

Closing date: 28 January 2019
